Gwendolyn really got down to some serious drawing today while home from school. Here are a couple of her more inspired efforts:
Two queens and their dog. (Gwendolyn stamped the crowns on herself.)
A girl at a table with a (very small) birthday cake.
From right to left: Gwendolyn skating on a rink (note the skate blades on the bottoms
of her feet), an owl sitting in a hole in a tree, a dragon lounging in a hammock in
the same tree, and a dog.

Kevin: Does the song, "In the Mood" flash you back at all?
Tonight our oldest son's high school jazz band put on a swing dance contest as a fundraiser. Of course, the jazz band provided all the music. While I would guess that 90% of the music is music we performed in high school, it was "In the Mood" that caught my attention. I listened intently through the piece. The band was awesome, the horns were amazing. And you know what? It sounded exactly like our high school jazz band...including the very last trumpet note ;-)
Love watching your daughter grow up. She is just such a cutie! Hope she's feeling better soon.
