This weekend was full of firsts. On Friday evening, it was Gwendolyn's first game of backgammon, inspired by the characters of a current A-list library book for whom the game is a favourite pastime. Gwendolyn ably handled the dice rolling and piece moving for Mama and Daddy; for the record, Mama won. (She always wins.)
On Saturday, it was Gwendolyn's first haircut. (We won't count the many trims she's had previously.) Happily for all, it seems the curls are here to stay, and there is no more hair brushing trauma every evening before bed.
On Sunday, it was the family's first visit to Mount Seymour to "tromp in the snow."
By the way, who needs the official toboggan runs -- or a toboggan, for that matter?
