Well, we made it! Gwendolyn and Dad got through their first week "sans Mama" pretty much intact. There were no major meltdowns by either party, and a good amount of fun was had, including trips to the library and to an open gym session for toddlers (yes, it's as chaotic as it sounds) at the local community centre.
While G. is generally content with just Dad during the day, she is very happy to see her Mama come through the front door in the evening -- a reaction that makes Felicity's time away at work a little easier to take.
An added benefit of our new schedule: Gwendolyn
By the way, Saturday morning saw Gwendolyn take her first swimming lesson. Dad was her swim buddy on this occasion, with Mama watching through the glass. We're sure M. will want to get in on the fun in the coming weeks, and we'll try to remember the camera for next week's lesson.

You must really love her - both swimming lessons AND baby gym. Such a good, high functioning, conforming parent! ;-)
Yes -- but no music classes yet, alas... She does have sing along at gym, though!
