The fruits of summer

One of the best things we've ever done as a family has been joining the community supported agriculture program offered by Klippers Organic Acres. During the winter, we purchased a share in the farm's output, which provided capital for the farmers to prepare for the coming growing season. In return, each week from June through October, we pick up a new batch of freshly harvested goodies from the Klippers stand at our local farmers market. Combine that with the shared harvest from our wee co-op garden plot, and we should be knee-deep in vegetables for the whole of the summer!

We love supporting a young farming family who are passionate about growing delicious, healthy food. We hope to visit the farm later this summer to show Gwendolyn exactly where her veggies come from.

This week's batch of produce included a lovely pound of cherries -- a big hit with our fruit-loving kid!
