Gwendolyn's latest chatter has been inspired by her book Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See? The text of the book goes "Panda Bear, Panda Bear, what do you see?/I see a Sea Lion swimming by me./Sea Lion, Sea Lion, what do you see?" and so forth.
On the walk today, Gwendolyn started to recite the book, saying the first line and clearly expecting a "call and answer"-type process. Mama was game but didn't remember all the animals that were featured in the book, so the odd "kitty cat" or "seagull" made its way into the game. Gwendolyn was perfectly happy to roll with the punches. Tonight's reprise ventured out of the animal kingdom when she began, "Band Aid, Band Aid, what do you see?" "I see a blister right by me." ( :( )
