It was time to replace the paper snowflakes on our living room window with something a little more springlike, so Daddy helped Gwendolyn create the scene you see here. There is a single butterfly, a family of snails and a whole whack of flowers -- only a few of which are anchored to the ground with stems. The flowers are Gwendolyn's version's of those that appear in Lois Ehlert's "Waiting for Wings," a lovely book about the life cycle of a butterfly.
