Farm fun

Gwendolyn and Daddy were invited on an impromptu adventure today: a trip to Maplewood Farm with Rod and his daughter Sydney. As you can see in the photos above, Gwendolyn got "up close and personal" with many of the farm's residents.

A favourite activity was visiting the rabbits in their "Rabbitat" and feeding them carrots we brought from home. Unfortunately, that activity also caused a bit of a meltdown, as Gwendolyn became very upset at the thought of leaving the bunnies during their mid-afternoon nap (picture her sobbing, "Rabbits closing eyes...").

All was made well with time at the hand washing station (running water -- a sure fire calming device), a snack and time to run around with Sydney. And we were able to visit the rabbits again post-nap before heading home -- hurrah!

Next time we visit, we'll be sure to capture a photo of Gwendolyn with Peggy and Petunia, the pot bellied pigs...
